Statistical Observation on Geriatric Dermatologic Patients for Last 5 years



Abstract
A statistical and comparative observations were performed on 551 geriatric 1) The frequency of aged patients over than 60 years of age showed 2.95% (551 geriatric new patients by 18,659 total new patients) which was lesser as about half of the proportion of population over 60 yrs of,age (5.62%) in our nation.
2) Sex ratio (male . numbers per 100 females) in geriatric patients was 104, which was higher than the proper sex ratio of population over 60 years of age as 68.87 in our nation.
3) In age distribution of geriatric patients, 7th decade showed 67.9%, 8th decade 27.00, and 9th decade 5. 1%. This data showed some variations compared with the data of population distribution by age in our nation as 7th decade was 65.860/a, 8th decade 27.24%, and 9th decade 6.910.
4) Monthly distribution showed the highest incidence on March, July and August.
5) Incidences of diseases were (D Eczematous dermatoses(42.93%), Mycotic infection (13.2061), (a Urticaria(7.62%6), Herpes zoster(7.25%), O Pruritus(4. 90%), Psoriasis (4. 90), 0 Pyoderma(2.36%), Vascular diseases (2.18%/), (B Scabies (2. 00161), U Vitiligo(2.00/6), (9 Seborrheic Keratosis(1.45%), Others(8.49%) in the order of frequency.
6) Eczematous dermatoses included (I) Seborrheic dermatitis(53 cases, 9.62%), OO Lichen simplex chronicus(50 cases, 9.07%), Contact dermatitis (47 cases, 8.530), Chronic eczema(42 cases, 7,6200), O5 Atopic dermatitis(24 cases, 4.3600) and, Exfoliative dermatitis(2 cases, 0.3661).
